Hot pink (maybe purple) and she loves them! She brings them to me, sets them on my lap, and holds up her feet one at at time until they're on:-)
Little known fact: this is a picture of Belle picking a wasp off of the deck railing. Seconds later I realized what happened when she shook the wasp off of her thumb (the one she sucks). I am pleased to tell everyone that a paste of baking soda and water (and a little ice) will draw out the poision and bring down the swelling in less than an hour, and if you distract your one-year-old with a show and cookies you might be able to treat the sting for at least half of the time you are supposed to.Also, as a side note, the wasp was still alive because it didn't lose its stinger (it turns out wasp's stingers are not barbed on the end like bee's so they can sting you multiple times- I'm somewhat of an expert now). It was just sitting peacefully on the deck where she shook it. Incensed, I charged outside, grabbed the broom, and smashed the living daylights out of that wasp... a good six or seven times... then I turned around to go back in the house and realized my neighbors (who had snuck outside as I was treating the sting) were silently watching me from their deck 10 feet away (just far enough away that I'm sure they couldn't see the wasp). Without a word I put the broom away and went inside. Some days are just like that.

I about died laughing at the end of your story where your neighbors were watching! Hilarious!
