I decided not to attend commencement- too long and boring for my little family and why go wit-Hout them?!
Convocation was great! Short and sweet- less than 300 business students and MBAs. The speeches were lovely I'm sure...I was actually enjoying reading Jane Eyre the whole time (what can I say-when I have precious time to myself I choose to read:-).
I cannot say how happy I was that my baby sister and my mom came in from Chicago to celebrate with me!
My mother-in-law, Janice also came- it felt so nice to be supported and honored for this achievement:-) I gave my stole to my mom to show her my gratitude: she has always emphasized the importance of education to me, and she encouraged my tirelessly to work hard until I completed this degree. Even though she gave the stole back and requested I give it to Quinn instead (hahaha), it truly belongs to my wonderful, humble, brilliant, loving mother:-)
Belle loved my cap and tassel- she kept smiling at me and saying, "Pretty Mama!"
Thank you to everyone for all of your support over the years and your congratulations- it has all been needed, noticed, and appreciated by me:-)
